Lyric
coloratura Hiather Darnel-Kadonaga is a sporano in her fourth year of her undergraduate degree in opera performance at UBC. She began her training in Calgary, Alberta with Elizabeth Johnson at Mount Royal College, completing a diploma in voice performance. She continued her operatic studies at UBC with Marisa Gaetanne and will graduate in April 2008. Hiather has performed Pamina in the Czech Republic from the Magic Flute, the soprano aria "Zerfliesse mein Herze" from a staged version of St. Johns Passion, Gianetta in Gondoliers at various venues, and coming up in January 2008, she will be performing Musetta in La Boheme. She has also completed chorus roles such as the village girls in Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, the Grisettes in Lehar's Merry Widow and coming up in April 2008, the addicts chorus from the new opera Dreamhealer. |
