Chor Musica Mens Choir

Chor Musica is a male voice community choir comprised of 54 singers sponsored by Pacific Coastal Airlines. Formed in 1998 by Pacifica Papers (Powell River Division) the choir provides an opportunity for men to explore and perform a variety of music written for the male choir. In their short history the choir has become popular with its audience. In addition to their regular concert season, the choir performs at civic functions, fundraising events and the International Choral Kathaumixw Festival.

In May 2007, Chor Musica took part in the Third British Male Voice Festival in Cornwall, UK. The choir gave concerts in Truro, Saltash, Helston, St Agnes, Pol and at the Eden Project. Sixty male voice choirs from Europe, Britain, South Africa, Austrailia and Canada attended the festival.

Men interested in singing are invited to join the choir. Rehearsals are Monday at 7:30 - 9 PM at the Academy of Music.
